Introduction
The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is required under the terms of its contracts with the HE representative bodies, the Department of Higher and Further Education Training and Employment (DHFETE) in Northern Ireland and the English and Welsh funding councils (HEFCE and HEFCW) to provide a report to those bodies in mid-September each year on performance against the objectives in the business plan; with an interim report against such objectives in mid-March.
