QAA welcomes external scrutiny and we seek to adopt relevant external standards in our work. The following are recognised standards that we meet.
BS 7799 standard
QAA has been certified for compliance with BS 7799 Part 2, a standard setting out the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS) - the standard describes the processes and structures necessary for establishing and managing information security.
The auditors praised the quality of our staff, and the thorough processes and documentation we have in place.
Investors in People
QAA has achieved the Investors in People Standard, which sets a level of good practice for improving an organisation's performance through its people.
Accessibility
QAA's website meets the recommended standard of the World Wide Web Consortium for XHTML 1.0, CSS and Level AA of the accessibility guidelines. The site is accessible to assistive technologies and flexible for all users. The font size can be increased or decreased in size by using the 'view' option in the browser, and the page width will increase and decrease with the browser size. Printing from the 'print' option of newer browsers will produce a 'print-friendly' version with images and navigation removed.
