Academic credit in Higher Education has been published to support the recommendations of the consultation by the Measuring and Recording Student Achievement Steering Group chaired by Professor Robert Burgess. The first outcomes from this group, Proposals for national arrangements for the use of academic credit in higher education in England, are published at http://bookshop.universitiesuk.ac.uk/latest
One of the recommendations is that a Credit Implementation Steering Group should be established. It is anticipated that, amongst its various jobs, this Steering Group will look at the topics covered in the Academic credit in Higher Education publication. In particular, it is likely that the Group will consider the requirements of specific audiences, such as students, staff in higher education institutions, and other stakeholders including employers; and may subsequently make proposals for other editions and versions of this publication.
