The review methods currently operating in Wales are:

Access to Higher Education
All relevant information is available including the recognition scheme, key statistics and Learning from AVA review.

Institutional review
For universities and colleges of higher education replacing the previous processes of continuation audit at institutional level and assessments and engagements relating to the quality and standards of provision at subject level. The Handbook includes guidance on producing self-evaluation documents, details of the involvement of students. Also available are details on Teaching Quality Information.

Reference points

All our review methods use a set of nationally agreed reference points, known as the Academic Infrastructure, to consider the standards and quality of higher education awards. You will find all the relevant documents in our Academic Infrastructure section.
