Round table discussion meetings on sections of the Code of practice for the assurance of quality and standards in higher education

Together the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), Universities UK and GuildHE organise round table discussion meetings concerned with the quality and standards of higher education, and the way in which they are reported on publicly.

Meetings are currently being planned to consider revisions to Section 8 of the Code of practice for the assurance of quality and standards in higher education: Career education, information and guidance, first published by QAA in January 2001. We would particularly welcome contributions and attendance by student representatives.

The purpose of these meetings is to consult a range of interested parties about some of the proposed changes to Section 8 of the Code of practice. These round table events will provide an opportunity for small group discussions about key issues surrounding career education, information and guidance.

The meetings take place on 30 October and 5 November in London and Birmingham.
Each meeting will be restricted to approximately 60 participants, to allow for a full discussion, so we recommend booking early to ensure your place.
