Assuring quality and standards in higher education

Wednesday 24 March 2010 - City Inn, Granary Wharf, 2 Wharf Approach, Leeds, LS1 4BR
Thursday 1 April 2010 - Woburn House, 20 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9HQ

QAA is holding two round-table meetings to discuss current projects.

The projects are looking at whether the tools used by UK higher education institutions to set and maintain quality and standards are appropriate, and are:

  • evaluating the Academic Infrastructure
  • developing of a set of minimum expectations for the role of external examiners.

A discussion paper will be published for each project as the basis of a wider consultation. The round-table meetings will provide an opportunity for a range of interested parties to consider these papers and the key issues which they raise.

Each event will cover both the Academic Infrastructure and external examining. More information about the event and the two projects is available here.

You can download a booking form here, or request one via email from s.melvin@qaa.ac.uk.
