QAA’s fifth Annual Liaison Conference will focus on the implications for institutions of working collaboratively with employers. The ‘employer engagement agenda’ is increasingly important for higher education and has been a particular Government priority in England and for the Welsh Assembly Government. The conference is open to institutions in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in the first instance.
The conference will look at this issue from the point of view of institutions and individual disciplines. We plan to:
- share the findings of the survey work carried out by QAA in Spring 2009
- present case studies demonstrating approaches to the quality assurance of employer-led provision.
- present key principles drawn from the survey which will be developed in discussion groups at the conference
- publish guidance for institutions later in 2009.
Places are limited to two per institution.
Invitations have been sent to QAA liaison officers at institutions subscribed to our liaison scheme. If you are interested in attending this event, please contact your liaison officer to express an interest in attending. If you are unsure who your liaison officer is, please speak to your academic quality department or email comms@qaa.ac.uk
