Major Review of healthcare programmes 
QAA carries out reviews of all NHS-funded healthcare programmes as part of a contract with Skills for Health, in partnership with the Department for Health (DH), Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the Strategic Health Authorities (SHAs). This review process, known as Major Review, is part of the Partnership Quality Assurance Framework for Healthcare Education.

Procedures on representations
Available to a higher education institution jointly with its partner placement providers where either or both of the following conditions apply: the reviewers have expressed 'no confidence' in the academic and practitioner standards, or the reviewers have judged the quality of learning opportunities to be 'failing'.
