Dear Colleague

I am pleased to enclose a consultation paper on proposals for a recognition scheme for additional subject benchmark statements for honours level awards. The proposals have been developed by a QAA Steering Group under the chairmanship of Professor David Eastwood (University of East Anglia). Please note that comments on the proposals can be made in two stages, initial reactions by 2 February 2004 and then more detailed comments by 12 March 2004.
