Dear Vice-Chancellor/Principal

Quality Strategy Network: A knowledge exchange for senior managers in higher education

I am writing to you at the request of colleagues in the sector to inform you about the establishment of a Quality Strategy Network (QSN), to act as a knowledge exchange for senior higher education managers. This will be a new network bringing together senior colleagues with quality strategy and management responsibilities in higher education. A background paper, describing the origins of QSN to date, is attached to this letter.

At the same time I should like to invite you to nominate a contact person with whom other members of QSN (including its organisers) can exchange information. A standard form is attached for this purpose.

Lastly I have been asked to inform you about the conference which QSN is organising, with support from QAA on 4 and 5 July 2005 at Woburn House. The theme of the conference is: How can the links between quality assurance and enhancement be strengthened in the next rounds of audit and review?

An outline flyer for this conference, which will be addressed by Dame Sandra Burslem, among others, is also enclosed with this letter.
