QAA has developed a new method to review higher education in further education colleges in Northern Ireland over the 2008-09 academic year. This review will provide an opportunity for colleges to demonstrate the effectiveness of their management of quality and standards, as set out in their partnership agreements with institutions and awarding bodies.
We have published a draft handbook to set out the review process and are seeking views from awarding bodies, colleges and other interested parties on the proposed method. There are a number of areas in the proposal that we would particularly welcome your comments on, which are detailed in the Circular letter.
