Outcomes from Institutional audit and review

To give institutions, their staff, students, and other stakeholders in higher education access to timely information on the broad outcomes of institutional audits, we publish short working papers under the generic titles Outcomes from institutional audit (in England and Northern Ireland) and Outcomes from institutional review in Wales. For Scotland, we publish the Learning from ELIR series.

The papers provide thematic analyses of aspects of the work of institutions described and evaluated in the audit and review reports, using the features of good practice and recommendations. They bring together relevant sections of the reports, and discuss themes in the features of good practice and recommendations, as well as in the large amount of supporting material.

Although QAA retains copyright in the contents of the papers, they can be freely downloaded and cited, with acknowledgement. The Outcomes from Institutional review in Wales papers are published in both English and Welsh.

Outcomes from Institutional audit in England and Northern Ireland The first series of papers is based on the 70 institutional audit reports published by the end of November 2004. It was discussed at the second institutional liaison conference in May 2006.   The second series draws on the institutional audit reports published from December 2004 to August 2006 using the same topics as the first series.

Outcomes from Institutional review in Wales The Higher Education Funding Council for Wales commissioned us to produce this short series of four papers. The papers look at the 12 Institutional review reports published between 2004 and 2009.     Comisiynodd y Cyngor Cyllido Addysg Uwch Cymru ni i gynhyrchu cyfres fer o bedwar papur. Mae'r papurau'n edrych ar y 12 adroddiad Adolygiad Sefydliadol a gyhoeddwyd rhwng 2004 a 2009.
